FAQs

1) Do I need to maintain the flowers?

Artificial flowers require very little maintenance. No changing of water needed, no disposing of stinky wilted stems and no need to worry about the room temperature. All that is needed is a light dust from time to time. This can be achieved using a hair dryer on a cool light setting or wiped with a clean microfibre cloth. This will keep your flowers looking radiant and beautiful for years to come.

2) Can I display the flowers outside?

It is strongly recommended to keep your flowers indoors and away from direct sunlight. This prevents fading and damage to the products and helps your beautiful display to stay radiant for as long as possible. However, you could display our flowers outside for a limited time at a short event.

3) Can I cut the stems of the flowers to fit my vase?

Yes you can cut the stems using a wire cutters (also known as a cable cutters or side cutters). If you would prefer not to cut the stems you can bend the stem to your preferred length. Please exercise caution while doing this.

4) What do I do if some petals have fallen off over time?

Don't panic, unlike fresh flowers you can simply place a drop of super glue on the area that has broke away from the stem. Hold it in place for a few seconds until the glue is set. Be careful not to glue your fingers together!

5) What are your terms and conditions?

Find all our terms are conditions on the following page. https://evergreenflowers.ie/pages/term-and-conditions

6) How do I arrange my flower display?

Although we have arranged your flowers into our own preferred display you may want to rearrange the flowers yourself. Some of the stems may have been rearranged to help with packaging for delivery and may need a final touch up to create a fuller look. To achieve this, gently bend the stems of the flowers/foliage. Do not pull on the flower heads as you could accidentally pull a flower head away from its stem. If you are struggling for arrangement ideas, take a look at our website/facebook/instagram for ideas.

7) What are artificial flowers made out of?

All artificial flowers are made out of different types of fabric. "Silk" flowers is the generic term used to describe artificial flowers made from fabric. In the past artificial flowers were made purely from silk but the industry has evolved and are now using many types of materials, from nylon to polyester. The artificial flower industry has advanced so much, the "real touch" flowers are now being produced using polyether polyurethane foam instead of plastic or silk. These flowers have the same touch and feel of fresh flowers, making it very difficult to determine that they are artificial.
